Help us provide life changing surgery for children around the world who have nowhere to turn.   Like Cedrick Pierre, from southern Haiti; born with deformed feet, he lived for 5 years with “corrective casts” on his feet that never made any improvement. A visiting Cuban orthopedic doctor came across his case, did surgery on his right foot and then left.  His foot became badly infected and he was about to lose it, when Dr. Leger in Les Cayes, contacted us.

We quickly received approval from a wonderful pediatric orthopedic surgeon in Ridgewood, NJ, Dr. Avella and from Valley Hospital, to bring him here, surgically clean his infection and perform corrective surgery on both feet/ankles.  He has now had his surgery, is in casts for 4 weeks, then corrective braces and therapy.  He will be walking for the first time in his life, before his 6th birthday!!

Cedrick and his mom, Rema, are being graciously hosted by Bob and Charlene Klingen.  They are having a great time getting to know what life in the US is like.  Rema especially loves the built in vaccum system!  Cedrick loves watching videos on the big screen tv!
